Hafez Search Going Strong  (Friday, January 28 2005, 4:51 pm)
The hafez search seems to be going strong, On average there are 7 people a day searching in the hafez section, and around 500 people a week use the Hafez Faal. This is way more than I expected it would ever reach, specially that I never fixed its bugs, or made any of the suggested improvements.

Damn Spywares.  (Wednesday, January 19 2005, 10:07 pm)
After 8 months of being ad-ware and spyware free, last week it hit me. A spyware called Startpage.wz, it took over the every internet page aswell as very frequent pop-ups. It was like no other though. Previous adwares similar to this were easy to remove, a small look and modification to the windows registery would do the trick. So the next step was to hit the adware removers. Ad-Aware and Spybot search and destroy went to their knees as they tried to find this, and I was left with more page redirects to their stupid site.
After much trial and error with registery and random deletion of dll files, I managed to partially fix it (As I was unable to browse any website, as everything would be redirected to one site). but the pop-ups were now less frequent. Though now i could search for other programs to remove this anoyance. So I found Doctor Spyware by pctools. its pretty nice, its removed it nicely aswell as a couple of other ones that i didnt even know about.
So if you have problems too with spyware try Doctor Spyware by Pctools

Something You Didn't Know  (Monday, January 17 2005, 7:22 pm)
I'm now sitting in St. Jerome's Library, at the computer, and as I was coming here I saw something crazy.
I'm sure you all know J.P. Pretti, he is a CS advisor, that has an office on the third floor of DC. He is always extremly busy, and never has time to answer people's questions. And when he does, he gives you this look that you are totally wasting his time, and he has better things to be doing than answering your questions.
Well today I found out why! As I was walking into St. Jerome's, I saw, in the office of Associate Dean of St. Jerome's College, J.P. Pretti, sitting behind the desk, and some student talking to him. At first I thought maybe he is just covering for someone, but a closer look at the lable on the door, clearly stated J.P. Pretti as the associate dean. Go figure.
